L-Choline
Choline contributes to maintaining normal liver function. It also plays an important role in the metabolism and transport of lipids and cholesterol. Choline is an integral part of certain phospholipids that are key in the construction and functioning of cell membranes. It also supports the maintenance of normal homocysteine metabolism.

L-Methionine  
Included in Hepaset PRO, L-methionine is one of the essential amino acids required for the human body’s functioning (it cannot be synthesized by the body and must be obtained through diet). L-methionine participates in numerous metabolic reactions and methylation processes. Along with cysteine, it is the only sulfur-containing amino acid, providing the body with sulfur groups. It also plays a role in glutathione synthesis.

L-Ornithine L-Aspartate (LOLA)  
This compound, found in Hepaset PRO, is a salt of two endogenous amino acids (produced by the body): ornithine and aspartic acid. Both L-ornithine and L-aspartate participate in the urea cycle, a multi-step process vital for removing harmful metabolic waste products from the body.

N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is a synthetic derivative of the endogenous amino acid L-cysteine, a precursor of the antioxidant glutathione (GSH), known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. NAC seems to offer protective effects on the liver. Studies have shown that NAC increases GSH levels in liver cells, providing antioxidant effects in these cells. NAC enhances the liver’s protective capacity, as GSH depletion is often seen as a consequence of increased oxidative stress and inflammation.

Hepaset PRO contains Selenium SeLECT®, a unique compound in which selenium is molecularly integrated into the essential amino acid methionine in place of sulfur. Selenomethionine works synergistically with silymarin, supporting its antioxidant effects at the liver level.

Molybdenum
