Description
The effect of the D-Mannose:
D-Mannose Supplementation
Chemically, D-mannose is considered a simple sugar. Structurally, it is similar to glucose but is only minimally absorbed in the digestive tract. This explains its lower glycemic index. Compared to glucose, which is quickly absorbed, mannose must first be converted into fructose and then into glucose, significantly weakening the insulin response and reducing its impact on blood sugar levels. Once absorbed through the intestines, mannose is not stored in the liver like glucose but is filtered directly out of the body through the kidneys.
What is D-Mannose?
D-mannose is a type of simple sugar, similar to glucose. It occurs naturally in many fruits and vegetables, such as oranges, apples, peaches, broccoli, and green beans. It can also be found in the human body. Our D-mannose supplement is derived from the bark of the silver birch (Betula pendula).
