HOME -> HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY (HBOT) -> CONDITIONS -> LYME DISEASE
Lyme can leave people with fatigue, headaches, joint or muscle pain, poor sleep, and that feeling of not being fully back in their body. HBOT is sometimes used as supportive therapy during recovery, not as a replacement for treatment, but as a way to help the body cope better and rebuild. One reason it is discussed in Lyme is that Borrelia is considered microaerophilic, meaning it prefers lower oxygen conditions, so oxygen rich environments may be less favourable for it, and at the same time HBOT can support tissue repair and calmer inflammation, which is what many people feel day to day.
